FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA – February 7, 2012 – Pop-star vocalist MANIKA (SonyRED) is “all in” in the fight against cyber-bullying by becoming the newest face to carry the word of the explosive NOH8 Campaign. “45% of today’s youth have been cyber-bullied in the past year. I truly believe that everyone is entitled to have their own unique voice. Everyone is different and that’s what makes us beautiful. We should respect people’s differences not bully them for it. I pledge to do everything I possibly can with NOH8 as a musical artist — and as a human being — to end cyber bullying.”

The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in response to the passage of Proposition 8 in late 2008. It has grown to over 20,000 faces including celebrities, politicians, artists, newlyweds and many more. The mission of the NOH8 campaign is to promote human and gender equality through education, advocacy, social media, and visual protest.
